| 2nd International Agriculture Conference - IAC 2006 scheduled to be held on September 8,
2006 at Karachi Expo Centre is being organized by Ecommerce Gateway with the support of the
Federal Ministry of Privatization & Investment, Ministry of Food Agriculture & Livestock and
Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Industry
The objective of the Exhibition is to further the initiatives taken by the present government to
mechanize the Food, Agriculture and Livestock sector of Pakistan for greater efficiency and
productivity. The Exhibition is poised to become a platform for display of latest technology,
equipment, machinery, other related products and services that can be utilized by the stakeholders,
farmers and users in the agricultural sector of Pakistan to ensure the much required growth in the
largest contributor of the GDP of Pakistan.
Food, Agri & Livestock Asia 2006 also incorporates a one-day 2 nd International Agriculture
Conference - IAC 2006 that focuses on “Vision 2015 and challenges for Agriculture sector of
Pakistan”. This conference aims to become a platform where experts, policy makers, decision
makers and major players from around the region in the trade of agriculture products would
discuss how the successful and proven global systems can be applied to improve the agriculture
productivity of Pakistan. The participants of the conference would discuss the modalities to
implement global agriculture systems locally in the light of changes in rules of trade; shifts in
domestic policy, and new developments in technology.
